Colco Roof insurance claims specialist reviewing storm damage documentation

Our 6-Step Roof Insurance Restoration Process

Colco Roof helps homeowners navigate the roof restoration process with clear communication, detailed documentation, and professional roofing services from inspection through completion.

1. Free Property Inspection

One of our trained inspectors will evaluate the roof and accessible exterior components for visible storm damage. We document our findings and explain the roofing repairs or replacement we recommend.

2. Meet with Your Insurance Adjuster

At your request, we can meet with the insurance adjuster to identify and document visible roof and exterior damage and explain our proposed repair scope.

3. Secure a Fair Settlement

We compare the insurance estimate with our inspection findings and repair scope. If construction-related items appear to be missing, we provide supporting documentation for the homeowner and insurance company to review.

4. Restore Your Property

Once the scope and project details are confirmed, our team completes the approved roofing and exterior work using applicable building requirements and manufacturer installation instructions. We provide clear communication throughout the project.

5. Complete and Close the Claim

After completing the approved work, we provide the relevant project documentation and invoices. The homeowner remains responsible for the deductible and any costs not covered by the insurance policy.

6. Ensure Your Satisfaction

We complete a final walkthrough and address any outstanding workmanship items. Roof replacements include the applicable manufacturer warranty and the Colco Roof workmanship warranty specified for the project. Eligible residential roof replacement projects may include workmanship warranty options of up to 10 years.

Schedule a professional roof inspection to document visible storm damage and understand the recommended next steps for your property.

Filing a Claim and Communicating with your Adjuster

The homeowner is responsible for reporting the claim and communicating directly with the insurance company. Provide complete and accurate information about the storm date, visible damage, active leaks, and any temporary repairs.

Colco Roof can inspect and document visible roof and exterior damage, prepare a construction estimate, and answer technical questions about the proposed repair scope. Coverage decisions and claim payments are determined by the insurance company under the terms of the policy.

Do not mention anything substandard about your roof, other than the fact that it has been damaged by a storm.
